Meet Max

Over Four Decades of Farming
in Sparta, TN

Max Jared has been farming for over 50 years. He grew up on a dairy farm, eventually took it over with his brother, and they ran a large milking operation for decades before transitioning to crop farming and land services.

Ten years ago, they sold the dairy cows but never stopped farming. He's spent the last decade growing soybeans, building a peach orchard, and taking on land service work throughout the Upper Cumberland. Now he's focusing on what he does best: growing quality produce, raising healthy cattle, and helping property owners with stump grinding and hay services.

Max has been married to his high school sweetheart for over 40 years. They have 7 grandchildren who love visiting the farm. When he's not working, you'll find him spending time with his kids and grandkids or watching Tennessee Vols football and basketball.
